I am honored to be considered as part of the Light Church Family Alumni. Under Pastor Ron and Sis. Veda, I discovered what it means to be in covenant relationship with God and other believers; a new level of knowledge about speaking words of life, living by faith, realizing my gifts, demonstrating leadership and the receiving of the Holy Spirit as an expression of communication to God. I can remember being at the church office until Midnight with Sandy McNeely and sometimes getting sent home whenever Pastor passed by and saw our cars. We were determined to grow the church and earn our “Full Time” spot in the Ministry.
Ironically, I work full-time in the Ministry for a well known local church serving in the “exact” same capacity I served at LightChurch. I work with the marketing team to develop and manage web properties and manage the Live Stream. I eat out with my siblings and the kids a lot and working my own business ventures.
I came to LightChurch as a child with my mother, Rhonda. I was baptized in Brother Gilbert’s pool. I learned a lot of invaluable things while attending LightChurch under the Leadership of Pastor Ron.
One of the things I like about LightChurch is that it is not a religious church but we were strictly fed the word without it being watered down or added to.
The concert brought members from near and far, new and old together for a good old LightChurch time as no other worship group in the city can do it.
Micah and Jason were practically babies when they started playing in the LightChurch Band but to hear them play without looking at who was playing you would not know the difference. They were just that good…
